Candidates affected by technical and biometric disruptions during the main 2026 UTME now have their mop up results, as JAMB moves immediately into the ranking stage of the admission process.

This was disclosed by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, in a statement issued on Tuesday, who confirmed that affected candidates can now access their scores through the Board’s established result checking channels. These steps are easy and have all been outlined in this guide: How to Check and Print Your JAMB Mop Up UTME Result.

The mop up examination, held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, served as a final chance for candidates who had completed biometric verification for the main UTME but were unable to write the exam due to technical glitches, biometric issues, or other disruptions recorded at examination centres.

“Following the successful conclusion of the mop up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates,” Benjamin noted, adding that result printing for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend.

He further conveyed appreciation to candidates and stakeholders for their patience throughout the process.

JAMB had earlier conducted the main 2026 UTME between April 16 and April 25, 2026, before the mop up sitting was arranged to accommodate affected candidates.

With ranking now underway, attention turns to how quickly result printing can commence, a step JAMB says is critical for candidates seeking admission this cycle.
