JAMB UTME Subject Combination for Arts & Humanities 2026
Any two (2) subjects from Arts, Social Sciences and one of History, Religious Studies, Government and Geography with English Language being the main subject.
Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates
Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes including Literature in English or History. NCE in relevant. Holders of NCE certificates with merit or distinction in related subjects are typically eligible. Candidates with a Diploma or ND (Lower Credit or above) in related fields may be considered, depending on the institution.

- KWASU requires two (2) other Arts subjects.
- MAIDUGURI requires Arabic and any other two (2) subjects
- ILORIN requires Arabic and any other two (2) Arts/Social Science Subjects.
- ABU requires Use of English, Arabic and any other two Arts or Social Sciences subjects.
- ABSU accepts: ‘O’ Level credit pass in English Language provided Fine Art grade is not below B3
- IBADAN accepts ‘A’ Level passes in any two (2) Arts subjects.
- JOS accepts NCE Merit or ND lower credit.
- ABUJA accepts a minimum of ten (10) points in NCE merit or ND upper credit in addition to the UTME requirements.
