O’Level Requirements for Engineering, Environment & Technology UTME Candidates

You will need a minimum of five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any from Agricultural Science, Materials and Workshop Process and Machining, Tractor Layout Power Unit Under Carriage and Auto Electricity; Transmission System; Implement and Machine; Principles of Crop Husbandry, or any other subject that is relevant to the discipline you are applying for.

You are expected to choose Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics as your subject combinations with a compulsory English Language although there might be changes depending on the institution you are applying to be admitted into.

What is essentially required from you are; ‘A’ Level passes or equivalent in Physics and Mathematics for Direct Entry candidates.

  1. ABU accepts five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject. (Including Economics, Technical Drawing, Metalwork and Woodwork).
  2. BAUCHI accepts Agricultural Science or Biology.
  3. LANDMARK requires Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics
  4. OOU requires any three (3) of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science.
  5. OSUSTECH requires Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Sciences and Physics/Mathematics.
  6. MAIDUGURI requires Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry or Biology or Agricultural Science.
