The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released 279 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results previously withheld over suspected examination malpractice, the board confirmed on Thursday.
Spokesperson Fabian Benjamin disclosed the development on X, noting the latest release was in addition to results already published and followed a detailed review of flagged cases.
Benjamin explained that outcomes varied across the reviewed cases. “While some results have been outrightly cancelled where evidence of malpractice was established, others have been released where the Board found no prima facie case against the affected candidates,” he stated.
Results from centres where the board’s live monitoring team observed suspicious activities remain withheld. “Where sufficient evidence of culpability is established, such results will be cancelled,” Benjamin added.
The 2026 UTME held between 16 and 25 April across accredited computer based test centres nationwide. Candidates yet to access their results were advised to check their status by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number submitted during registration.
