The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has activated two major post examination processes for candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, opening the Change of Institution portal and commencing result slip printing today, Monday, 18th May 2026.
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin confirmed that the Board officially activated the change of Institution process, directing all candidates who wish to adjust their institution or course of choice to visit any accredited Computer Based Test centre nationwide.
“Candidates wishing to change their institution or programme of choice may now proceed to do so by visiting any of the Board’s approved CBT,” the statement read. The steps to do this are easy and are all outlined in this detailed guide: Easy Steps to Process JAMB Change of Institution 2026/2027.
Beyond the Institution change portal, Benjamin also confirmed that candidates can begin printing their original 2026 UTME result slips as of today, a development that brings relief to thousands who have awaited official score documentation since the conclusion of the examination.
“Furthermore, the printing of the original 2026 UTME result slip will commence on Monday, 18th May, 2026,” Benjamin stated.
JAMB stressed that both processes must be carried out exclusively through official and accredited channels. The Board has maintained a firm position against the use of unauthorised platforms for any post examination activity, warning that such actions could compromise the integrity of candidates’ records. All important steps and strict instructions are explained here: Print Your 2026 UTME Result Slip in Six Easy Steps.
Candidates visiting CBT centres for either the Institution change exercise or result slip printing have been advised to arrive with valid login credentials and all supporting documents to ensure a smooth process. The Board did not announce a closing date for the change of institution exercise but urged candidates to proceed without delay.
As the 2026 admissions season progresses, JAMB continues to remind candidates that compliance with official procedures remains essential to securing a place in any Nigerian Tertiary Institution.
