The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has confirmed the release of results for candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination on Monday, April 20, with the board directing affected candidates to access their scores through its standard checking process.
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin announced on Tuesday via a statement on X. “The results for Monday, 20th, have been released. Candidates can view their results using the usual process,” he noted. The spokesperson did not disclose the total number of candidates whose results were published in the latest batch.
Tuesday’s release continues a gradual rollout of 2026 UTME results that has spanned several days. The board had previously published 632,752 results from Thursday’s examination before releasing a further 1,264,940 results covering Friday and Saturday sittings on Sunday, bringing the total published before Monday’s batch to 1,897,692.

The announcement follows days of tension among candidates after the board missed its own Saturday midnight deadline for releasing Friday’s results. Candidates reported paying multiple times to check scores that were not yet available, and subsequently demanded refunds. JAMB rejected those demands, arguing that no official release had been announced and that candidates who attempted to check their results before the official notification did so independently.
With the Monday batch now confirmed, candidates are urged to check their results immediately through official JAMB platforms.
