Writing the Examination is only the beginning; what comes after: checking your score, meeting cut off marks, and presenting the right documents during screening, is just as important as the examination itself.

If you just wrote the 2026 UTME, you now must print your official JAMB result slip. Without it, most Institutions will not process your admission, clear you for registration, or even accept you for screening.

The Result Slip Printing for the 2026/2027 session is now available for printing according to the latest announcement: Candidates Can Now Print Original UTME Slips. Printing is quite easy. You just need to learn the steps, printing costs, and what to do after you have your slip in hand. This guide breaks it down properly.

How to Identify the JAMB Result Slip

Understanding what you are actually printing is very important. Many candidates often confuse these two documents:

The Result Notification Slip is the first thing you see after JAMB releases results. It shows your score and gives you a quick review of how you performed. It is useful, but it is not the document most Institutions want during screening.

The Original JAMB Result Slip is the official one. It carries your passport photograph and verified details, and it is what Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education need during admission screening, clearance, and registration. This is the one you must print and keep safely.

Things You Need Before Printing Your Slip

The email address and password you used during JAMB registration.

Your JAMB registration number.

Working internet connection.

A debit card, credit card, or any accepted payment option to cover the fee.

Access to a printer, or a nearby business centre, or a CBT centre.

Note that if you have forgotten your password, you can use the “Forgot Password” option on the portal. But if that does not work, visit the nearest JAMB office with your registration details.

Step by Step: How to Print Your 2026 JAMB Result Slip

Step 1: Open the Official JAMB Portal

Go to the JAMB eFacility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng. Do not use any other website to protect your details and avoid scams.

Step 2: Log in to Your Account

Enter your registered email address and password to log in.

Step 3: Find the Result Slip Section

On your dashboard, search for “Print Result Slip.” This will take you directly to the result slip printing page.

Step 4: Pay the Required Fee

Click “Continue with Payment” and pay the fee with your debit card. You can also use a bank transfer or any accepted payment option. Make sure to save your payment confirmation. You may need it later.

Step 5: Enter Your Details

Select 2026 as your examination year and enter your JAMB registration number.

Step 6: Download and Print

Once your payment goes through, your result slip will be generated immediately. Click Download to save it as a PDF before printing. Then open the file and print. You must use a good printer so that your slip comes out very clear.

Printing Fee

The official JAMB fee is N1,500. But if you are printing at a CBT centre or business centre, expect to pay an additional service charge. The charges might fall between N500 and N1,500 on top of the JAMB fee.

JAMB Result Slip Expiry Date

If you sat the 2026 UTME and did not secure admission immediately, you must write the examination again. Your Result Slip is only valid for one session.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What happens if I pay the N1,500 fee but the slip does not generate?

Do not panic and do not pay again. Log out of the portal, wait a few minutes, and log back in. In some cases, the payment was already recorded even when the slip did not appear. But if the problem continues after 24 hours, visit the JAMB office with your payment confirmation and registration details.

Can you print more than once?

Yes. After paying the fee, you can download and reprint as many times as you need.

Will my result slip show my subject scores or just my total score?

Your official result slip shows both your total score and the individual scores for each subject you sat. This is why Institutions prefer it over SMS result notification.

What if my passport photograph is blurry or missing on the result slip?

If your slip prints without a clear photograph, visit your nearest JAMB office immediately with your registration details. Do not try to edit it in any way.

The printing option is not showing on my dashboard. What do I do?

JAMB activates the feature in groups, so keep checking your portal.

The Mop Up UTME gives candidates who missed the main exam due to technical glitches, biometric issues or other issues one final chance to take the test. This is why anticipation for the results is so high.

The results will determine if you will be a student of a Nigerian University in the next session or not, so checking and printing this result is especially important for everyone affected.

JAMB has announced the release of the 2026 Mop Up UTME Results: Affected Candidates Can Now Access UTME Mop Up Results. Candidates who participated in the examination can now check their results through the Board’s established result checking channels.

How To Check Your Result Via SMS

The fastest way to get your score works without internet access:

Use the same phone number and SIM card linked to your JAMB registration and National Identification Number.

Type UTMERESULT exactly as one word, with no spaces.

Send it to 55019 or 66019.

Make sure you have at least N50 airtime before sending.

JAMB’s reply usually arrives almost immediately with your score.

How To Check Your Result Online

You can also check your score through the JAMB eFacility portal or the result checking link.

Visit efacility.jamb.gov.ng.

Enter your JAMB registration number. If you cannot remember it, use the email address you registered with instead.

Enter your password if you are prompted for one.

Click “Check My Result” or “Login,” depending on which page you land on.

Your subject scores and aggregate will display on your screen once it loads.

How To Print Your Result Slip

Once printing is activated, the process is straightforward and runs through the same eFacility portal.

Go to efacility.jamb.gov.ng and log in with your registered email address and password.

On your dashboard, click “Print Result Slip.”

Select the correct examination year.

Enter your JAMB registration number.

Pay the required Printing Fee through your debit card or any accepted payment option.

Download the generated slip as a PDF, then print it.

Your result slip carries your passport photograph, full subject scores and the Institutions’ request during post UTME screening. So, it is important that you print as soon as the portal allows you to.

What If Your Result Is Not Showing Yet

A delay does not always signify a problem because results are released in batches.

If You Are Checking By SMS:

Confirm UTMERESULT is spelled correctly as one word

Confirm you sent it to the right shortcode, 55019 or 66019.

Confirm you used the SIM registered to your JAMB profile.

Confirm your airtime balance was at least N50 at the time of sending.

If you have checked all four points and you still can’t access your result, visit the nearest JAMB office with your registration details. JAMB staff will confirm whether the issue is a delay in batch processing or something that needs correcting on their end.

If You Are Checking On The Portal

If you see “Result Withheld,” your result has been flagged for further review. This might be because of suspected irregularity at your centre. You cannot do anything at this stage so wait for JAMB to communicate with you.

If you see “Result Not Available” or “No Record Found,” your result is probably still being processed and has not been uploaded for your batch yet. Check back after a day or two.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can someone else check my result for me using my registration number?
A: No. The check is tied to your registered phone number, not just your registration number.

Q: Does a delayed result mean I have been disqualified?
A: Not necessarily. Batched release and ongoing centre scrutiny account for most delays.

Q: Why is the online portal loading slowly or not opening at all?
A: If the page is slow to load or times out, the might be heavy traffic. Try again early in the morning or late at night when the server has fewer people on it.

Q: Do I need to pay to check my result online?
A: No, checking your result is free. A fee only applies when you print your official result slip.

Q: What if I have forgotten my Registration Number?
A: If you cannot remember your registration number, log into your profile with your registered email address and password to retrieve it.

This is your last chance to sit for the UTME this year. This examination is for candidates who ran into verified technical problems during the main 2026 UTME. It is for candidates who had biometric verification failures, who suffered system crashes at CBT centers, or other disruptions that were officially recorded and acknowledged by JAMB.

However, if you simply didn’t show up on your original exam day for personal reasons, that’s a different story. Candidates who were absent from their centres during the earlier exam are NOT eligible for the Mop Up Examination. Only candidates whose problems were formally documented qualify. If you’re not sure whether you’re eligible, the fastest way to find out is to try printing your slip. If it shows up, you’re in.

JAMB has officially announced that the portal is now open in its latest news: JAMB Portal Now Active For 2026 Mop Up UTME Slip Printing. Now, all you need to do is print your slip. This guide explains how to do that.

Easy Ways to Print Your 2026 Mop Up Slip

There are two ways to do this.

Method 1: Use the Slip Printing Portal

Open your browser: on your phone, tablet, or computer, and go to https://slipsprinting.jamb.gov.ng/printmopupexaminationslip

Enter your details:

Your JAMB Registration Number

Your registered email address

Your phone number on the JAMB profile

Click “Print Examination Slip.” Your exam details will appear on screen with your name, venue, date, and time.

Save and print. Either print directly if you have a connected printer, or click “Save as PDF” to download it to your device first. If you’re using a phone, save it to your files or send it to your email and print from a business center.

Tip: Print in color if you can. Your photograph appears on the slip and is used for identification. If color isn’t available, black and white is acceptable, just make sure the image is clear.

Method 2: Use the JAMB eFacility Portal

Go to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/Login

Sign in with the email address and password linked to your JAMB profile

Look for the “Print Main UTME Exam Slip” section

Enter your registration details and print

If the slip does not load, make sure your internet connection is stable. Sometimes, simply refreshing the page solves the issue. You can also clear your browser’s cache or switch to a different browser. But if you are still stuck, walk into any JAMB accredited CBT center near you. The staff there can help you print it, though you will be charged for the service.

Things to Bring on Exam Day

Bring:

Your printed exam slip (ideally two copies)

A valid form of ID (National ID card, voter’s card, international passport, or school ID)

Do NOT bring:

Your phone

A calculator

A wristwatch

Pens or pencils

Jewelry or accessories

The invigilators are strict. Leave everything that’s not on the approved list at home or in your bag outside. Also, make sure to arrive at least 45 minutes to an hour before your scheduled time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is printing the supplementary exam slip free?

A: Yes. Printing the slip is free on the JAMB portal. You only pay if you use a cyber café or CBT center to help you print.

Q: I wasn’t given a new exam date. Can I still check?

A: Yes, try logging in through either portal on the 6th of June. If your slip doesn’t appear, your case may not have been officially captured. In that case, contact JAMB’s support desk or visit your nearest JAMB office.

Q: What if my details don’t match the portal?

A: Double check that you’re entering the exact registration number, email, or phone number that you used during registration. If there’s still a mismatch, visit a JAMB accredited center or contact JAMB support. Do not wait until the day before the exam.

Q: Can I write the supplementary exam if I already have a result from the main UTME?

A: No. The supplementary exam is only for candidates whose results are pending, withheld, or who experienced technical issues during the main UTME. If you have a result, even a low one, you’re not eligible for the Mop Up.

Q: What happens after the Supplementary exam?

A: Your results will be processed and will be used during the JAMB admission process at Nigerian Tertiary Institutions. The supplementary exam follows the same CBT format and standards as the main exam.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has now approved the Correction of Data (Change from UTME to DE) under the JAMB Correction of Data service.

What is UTME to Direct Entry Conversion?

The UTME to Direct Entry conversion is simply a process that allows candidates who have already registered for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to switch their application to DE if they are eligible.

Why UTME to Direct Entry Conversion?

Ideally, the conversion is only for those who are qualified for DE admission despite initially registering for UTME. Also, once the conversion is approved, candidates will be able to start from the 200 level in their institutions’ choice as opposed to the regular UTME candidates who start from the 100 level.

UTME to Direct Entry Conversion Eligibility

If you are considering a conversion from your initially registered UTME to DE, then you must at least possess any of the following credentials;

A-Level (Advanced level) Certificate

National Diploma (ND)

Higher National Diploma (HND)

National Certificate of Education (NCE)

IJMB/JUPEB or any other advanced qualification which is recognised

Requirements Needed to Convert UTME to Direct Entry

To successfully convert UTME to Direct Entry, you will be required to have the following in your possession;

Original copies of your advanced-level qualification (OND, HND, NCE, etc.)

O’Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) uploaded on the JAMB portal

JAMB e-PIN for UTME to DE conversion (to be purchased)

How to Convert UTME to Direct Entry (DE) 2026

Considering that you are qualified for the UTME conversion to DE, you are to proceed as follows for a smooth process;

First of all, you will have to visit a JAMB accredited CBT centre

Once you have gotten there, request the UTME to DE conversion form

Purchase the UTME to Direct Entry conversion pin

Fill out the form with the required details

Scan and upload all qualifications needed for the conversion, and submit the form

Once it has been completed, your direct entry status will reflect on your profile, and you will get a confirmation slip

What Should I Do After the Conversion?

Once the conversion is successfully initiated, you are to change your course and institution to match your DE, precisely the advanced-level qualification which you used to avoid missing out on the admission.

You can also print out the registration slip for the direct entry for reference purposes.
