The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has told 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination candidates that their Original Result Slips are not yet available for printing, with the board citing unfinished examination processes as the reason for the delay.
Fabian Benjamin, the board’s Public Communication Adviser, revealed this in an official statement on his X handle, confirming that the printing portal remains inactive. He noted that the conclusion of the mop up examination for candidates who could not sit the main examination through no fault of theirs must be factored in before result slips are released.
The JAMB spokesman attributed the hold on printing to the ranking nature of the UTME, explaining that releasing slips before all adjustments are completed would be premature.
“The printing of the 2026 UTME Original Result Slip has not yet been activated. Candidates are kindly urged to be patient as the Board has just concluded the foreign examinations and is also preparing to conduct the mop up examination for candidates who were unable to sit for the main examination through no fault of theirs,” he stated.
Benjamin further disclosed that the Original Result Slip is not a standard score document but one that reflects each candidate’s national ranking, making accuracy in processing non-negotiable before public access is granted.
“Candidates are reminded that the UTME is a ranking examination, and the Original Result Slip contains the ranking of candidates. Consequently, all necessary processes must be completed before the slips can be released,” Benjamin said.
The board confirmed that candidates would receive a formal notification once the portal is ready.
“As soon as the necessary adjustments are concluded, the printing portal will be activated. This will be done shortly, and candidates will be duly informed when to proceed with the printing of their result slips,” he added.
Benjamin tendered an apology to candidates affected by the delay and urged them to remain patient.
